this here is a log of media i've experienced, which likely does not include everything since there's just too much to remember or maybe i'd rather forget about it for whatever reason 🤷

i've put a star next to my favorites, but i don't abide by number ratings since i feel like they don't properly communicate my feelings for a piece of media. often times i enjoy things that are considered bad or may not enjoy something that's considered good, so instead i go by vibes. what matters most to me is how much fun i had, regardless of the quality! i would love to share my thoughts more in depth, but one) there are too many things to go through and two) it's been some time since i've seen most of these. you can tell which things i watched most recently by how detailed my reviews are haha.

call me by no name complete watched this since kudo mio and osaki ichika were starring in it, but i quite enjoyed it! visually stunning, and i thought it handled the subject of trauma and abuse pretty well
final fantasy xiv: hikari no otou-san complete very cute and heartwarming, plus it was fun seeing all the toku stars

kimi no te ga sasayaite iru ★ complete a very lovely story that really moved me. this is my perspective as a hearing person so this might not mean much, but i think it handled the subject material with a lot of care and kindness
koisenu futari ★ complete words can't capture how much i love this show, especially as someone who's aroace. i was worried about how it would portray aromanticism and asexuality, but it's such a wonderful story and absolutely worth checking out
konya sukiyaki da yo ★ complete similar to koisenu futari, words don't do this show justice. another wonderful story that features an aromantic character, except it's about her navigating adulthood and her intimate relationship with an allo friend rather than a journey of self-discovery. absolutely adore it to bits
my broken mariko ★ complete i was sobbing for most of the movie, this is definitely a story that will stay with me for a long time. i read this before the manga, but i think it does the manga justice

switch girl!! eps 1/8 watched this for kiriyama renn, but i think i didn't continue just because it was hard to find subs at the time it was airing. maybe i'll pick it up again
taikan yoho eps 1/8 watched this because i thought the idea of zox zenkaiger and momoi taro donbrothers as leads in a bl was amusing, but it didn't really grab me. however, i will not deny that their photoshoots are Aesthetic and i kinda wanna continue it for the inspiration they give me—
tokusatsu gagaga ★ complete speaks to me on a spiritual level like no other piece of media has
yu yu hakusho complete despite being so short, i think it really captured the spirit of the original yu yu hakusho. i enjoyed it a lot, it would be nice to see more of this adaption
yuria-sensei no akai ito complete personally i wouldn't go out of my way to pick up something with cheating as the premise, but i wanted to watch a more recent role by kanno miho and the summary just seemed so wild so i gave it a go and was pleasantly surprised! i think the show handles the matter of affairs maturely and with nuance, and i really enjoyed seeing the relationship among miho's chosen family develop

the chilling adventures of sabrina parts 3/4 vibed with it for the most part, i just got lazy about finishing it
the good place ★ complete knew this show from the memes, got interested in it based on the premise, fell in love with it for its portrayal of life and death and the meaning we make out of it. genuinely, what a masterpiece of a show. it's one of those things i'm grateful i watched, and will carry its story with me for a good while

subarashiki kono sekai the animation complete a fine adaptation of the game, i don't really have complaints so much as it's that i think that there's no experience like the game itself
tengen toppa gurren lagann (movie) complete i'm going to watch the anime itself some day i promise, but i've been meaning to watch gurren lagann for so long and i really enjoyed the experience! it definitely lives up to the hype
thunderbolt fantasy ★ complete this is so difficult categorize, but its unique nature is exactly why it's one of my favorite works! this gave me such an appreciation for the art of puppetry, the way it weaves such an intricate tale and conveys emotions through these puppets is simply amazing
tokyo godfathers ★ complete another one of my favorite kon movies! blends drama and humor very well while also being incredibly real
vanitas no karte s1/2 (eps 4/12) the only reason i didn't finish this is because i was watching it with friends and our schedules no longer lined up 😭 but as someone who didn't read the original manga, i enjoyed what i was able to watch very much!
versailles no bara ★ complete if i had watched this during my formative years, i would've based my entire personality on lady oscar. honestly i didn't know what to expect, but it was such a wonderful and moving experience! i'm also so impressed at how accurate it is of the history
violet evergarden complete it's a very beautiful anime and it was pretty nice, but personally i prefer the original novel

animal crossing: new horizons complete i don't think is as bad a game as many people say, but i did find myself with less to do with it than the previous animal crossing entries. admittedly, i think i was growing out of simulation games by the time this dropped
bravely default complete played this thanks to revo, but i genuinely enjoyed the game despite how repetitive the last leg felt. definitely a vibe. also you can listen to the soundtrack composed by revo for free on available streaming services—
bravely second complete a wonderful sequel to bravely default. the final boss fight makes me ugly sob every time
crisis core: final fantasy vii complete ooh the vibes. zerith, you are the world to me
dramatical murder complete i played this way younger than i should have, but damn did this leave a mark on me
fire emblem awakening complete my very first fire emblem game, which i absolutely adored! it did influence me quite a bit, i hold it very close to my heart

ride kamens ★ eos gone too soon. i didn't intend on playing it when it was first announced, but i wanted to give it a try since so many people were giving it flack for no reason—and i'm so glad i did! it's a true and sincere homage to kamen rider while still standing strong on its own. the characters and their stories mean so much to me, and i hope one day to meet them again

akuma shitsuji to kuro neko ongoing i wasn't at all familiar with akuneko before watching this, i literally only watched this because i knew the first floor butlers' actors, but i found myself so enthralled by akustage. its aesthetics and story are really up my alley, and i found myself taking a liking to the characters too! i'd like to follow along, and hopefully get into akuneko proper as well
dancing☆star pretty cure ★ ongoing i wasn't that interested in this when it was first announced, but i decided to check it out since i'm familiar with many of the actors and i was astounded by how much i enjoyed it! it reminds me of a tokusatsu production in all honesty, though i suppose that's how well it pays respect to its pretty cure origins
hypnosis mic -division rap battle- rule the stage ★ ongoing there are just too many stages for me to list out, so i might save that for another time. overall though, hypstage is hands down my favorite canon of hypmic and i adore it with all my heart! i love the way they explore the characters and actually delve into the world building. i also appreciate that it usually stays true to hypmic's hip-hop and rap roots as well
mahoutsukai no yakusoku ★ ongoing a wonderful adaptation of mahoyaku's story brought to life with its amazing cast and staging
ride kamens: the stage complete i adored how we learned more about gen 5's time at the academy here while also gaining more insight on their bonds. i can only hope and pray that we get more stages focused on the other classes
shoujo kageki revue starlight ★ ongoing as revstar is about theater, it's wonderful seeing how they bring it to life. the seiyuus truly exemplify what it means to be a stage girl. i especially adore how they've been adapting the plays within the story itself!

hypnosis mic ★ ongoing genuinely i thought hypmic would be a fleeting phase for me, but it's become one of my long-lasting interests. it's not a perfect series whatsoever, but it has such a colorful cast of characters and banger songs! not only do the staff and cast put a lot of care into it, but the community does too, which makes for a very fun experience
the evillious chronicles ongoing one of my childhood loves, and honestly one of my formative interests. admittedly i fell out as the lore got more complicated, but i can always appreciate the way story and songs are weaved together
revue starlight ★ ongoing as i said before, revstar revitalized my love for theater and i owe it all the passion it ignited in me. i do have some qualms about it continuing as a franchise, but i adore the characters, the stories, and the music so much. the stage never truly ends
